How to Write a Notice (CBSE Format & Example)

1. The Box: A notice MUST ALWAYS be enclosed in a rectangular box. Without the box, marks will be deducted.
2. Word Limit: It must be brief and strictly within 50 words.
3. Tone: It must be formal. Do not use words like 'I' or 'You' (use third-person passive voice instead).

1. Name of the Institution/School (at the top center, in capital letters).
2. The word NOTICE (below the school name, in capital letters).
3. Date of Issue (on the left side, e.g., 15 May 2024).
4. Heading/Title (center aligned, stating what the notice is about).
5. Body of the Notice (Who, what, when, where, and whom to contact).
6. Signature, Name, and Designation (on the bottom left).

Here is a sample notice written by a student who lost their watch.
