A hurricane is a massive, incredibly powerful, spiraling tropical storm that forms entirely over the warm ocean water. It brings devastating winds (blowing over 119 km/h) and massive floods. When it hits land, it destroys houses, uproots massive trees, and floods entire cities before eventually losing its power.

Scientifically, a Hurricane, a Cyclone, and a Typhoon are the exact same weather phenomenon. They are just given different names depending entirely on the geography (where in the world the storm happens):
