Anuched Lekhan (अनुच्छेद लेखन): Format, Rules and Examples

To score full marks in this section, you must adhere to several strict rules:

1. Single Paragraph: An Anuched must never be broken into multiple paragraphs. The entire text must flow continuously in one single block.
2. Word Limit: Always stick to the word limit prescribed in the question paper (usually 80 to 100 words or 100 to 120 words).
3. Direct Approach: Do not waste words on long introductions. Hit the main point of the topic immediately in the first sentence.
4. No Repetition: Because of the strict word limit, repeating the same point using different words will cost you marks.

While it is a single paragraph, a good Anuched logically flows through three phases:

• Aarambh (Beginning): A strong, attractive opening sentence that defines the topic.
• Madhya (Middle): The core argument, presenting causes, effects, or key information logically connected using linking words (यद्यपि, इसलिए, क्योंकि).
• Ant (Conclusion): A powerful final sentence that summarizes the thought, gives a solution, or ends with a relevant quote/proverb (Sookti).

CBSE often provides 'Sanket Bindu' (Hints or Bullet points) along with the topic. You must weave every single one of those hints into your paragraph. If you miss a hint, marks will be deducted. Keep your language simple, grammatically correct, and free of spelling errors (Matra mistakes).
