1. AIPMT Full Form

AIPMT stands for All India Pre-Medical Test.

  • What was it? It was an annual national-level entrance examination conducted by the CBSE for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in medical colleges across India.
  • Current Status: AIPMT has been discontinued. In 2016, it was officially replaced by NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test), which is now the single uniform medical entrance exam in India, conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency).

2. AISSE Full Form

AISSE stands for All India Secondary School Examination.

  • What is it? This is the official name for the CBSE Class 10 Board Examination.
  • Every year, millions of students across India and abroad appear for the AISSE conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
  • Passing the AISSE: Upon successfully passing this exam, students receive their Class 10 passing certificate and mark sheet, which is a crucial document for age proof and admission to Class 11.

(Note: The Class 12 board exam is similarly called AISSCE — All India Senior School Certificate Examination).
