यह आकार में बहुत बड़े (एक कमरे के बराबर) और बेहद शक्तिशाली होते हैं। इनकी स्टोरेज क्षमता और प्रोसेसिंग स्पीड बहुत ज़्यादा होती है। इन पर एक साथ हज़ारों लोग काम कर सकते हैं।

उपयोग: बड़ी मल्टीनेशनल कंपनियों, एयरलाइंस (टिकट बुकिंग सिस्टम), और रेलवे द्वारा लाखों ग्राहकों का डेटा एक साथ प्रोसेस करने के लिए इनका इस्तेमाल होता है।

4. सुपर कंप्यूटर (Supercomputer)

यह दुनिया के सबसे तेज़, सबसे शक्तिशाली और सबसे महँगे कंप्यूटर होते हैं। यह एक सेकंड में अरबों-खरबों (Trillions) कैलकुलेशन कर सकते हैं।

उपयोग: इनका इस्तेमाल वैज्ञानिक अनुसंधान (Scientific research), मौसम की भविष्यवाणी (Weather forecasting), अंतरिक्ष यान लॉन्च करने, और परमाणु परीक्षणों में किया जाता है।
