The Sama Veda is the third of the four ancient Hindu scriptures known as the Vedas. It is universally recognized as the foundational text for Indian classical music and dance.
In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna emphasizes the supreme sweetness and importance of the Sama Veda by saying: 'Of the Vedas I am the Sama Veda' (Vedanam Samavedo'smi).
