Bust Size Meaning

Definition: • Bust size = circumference of the chest measured at the fullest point of the bust • Measured with a measuring tape (in inches or cm) • Used for: bra sizing, blouse stitching, dress sizing, salwar suit

How to Measure Bust Size:

1. Stand straight with arms at sides
2. Wrap a soft measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest (across the nipple line)
3. Keep the tape parallel to the floor — not too tight, not too loose
4. The measurement in inches = your bust size

Bust vs Chest: • For women: Bust = measurement around the breast area • For men: Chest = measurement around the chest (same concept) • In clothing: 'Bust' used for women; 'Chest' used for men

Bust, Waist, and Hip Measurements: • The three key measurements for women's clothing: Bust / Waist / Hip • Example: 34-28-36 means Bust 34 inches, Waist 28 inches, Hip 36 inches
