My Hobby — Paragraph for Students

My favourite hobby is reading books. I read story books, comics, and novels during my free time. Reading has given me knowledge about different countries, cultures, and ideas. My favourite books are the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. Reading also improves my vocabulary and helps me write better in school. Every night before sleeping, I read at least 15 minutes. My parents always encourage this habit. I believe that reading is the best hobby one can have because books are our best friends. They never leave us alone and always teach us something new.

My hobby is drawing and sketching. Whenever I have free time, I pick up a pencil and draw what I see around me — birds, flowers, people, and landscapes. Drawing helps me express my feelings without words. My art teacher says I have a natural talent for sketching. I want to learn watercolour painting next.
