दूसरा अंक: राज्य (State) को दर्शाता है।
तीसरा अंक: ज़िले (District) को दर्शाता है।
अंतिम 3 अंक: आपके एरिया के स्थानीय पोस्ट ऑफिस (Delivery Post Office) का कोड होते हैं।

Postal Code और ZIP Code में क्या अंतर है?

इनमें कोई अंतर नहीं है, केवल नाम का फर्क है:

भारत में इसे PIN Code कहते हैं।
अमेरिका में इसे ZIP Code कहते हैं।
UK में इसे Postcode कहते हैं। (जब भी कोई विदेशी वेबसाइट आपसे ZIP Code मांगे, तो अपना 6 अंकों वाला भारतीय PIN Code ही डालें)।
